With our in-house ECU unlock engineered and executed in Germany for Mercedes and AMG 2020+ models equipped with MRD1 or MRG1 ECU, you unlock the full potential for real ECU Tuning.
Forget about solutions like tuning boxes or piggy-back ECUs. Our unlock provides the technical foundation for real ECU Tuning.
Compatible with Mercedes-Benz and AMG models from model year 2020 onwards equipped with an MRD1 or MRG1 ECU. Only MRD1 and MRG1 ECUs for 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines are supported. Other ECUs – including MRD2/MRG2 and higher – are not supported. Please do not send requests for ECUs that are not listed, as we are currently unable to process them.
After the unlock, the software can only be flashed to the ECU using our KM eFlash or a compatible J2534 interface. Other flashing tools are not supported.
The required Windows software and license are provided free of charge as part of the unlock service.
Note: Depending on the vehicle, flashing via the OBD2 port may not be possible in some cases. OBD bench flashing is always possible.
Would you prefer to drop off your ECU in person? No problem! You’re welcome to bring the unit directly to us — we’ll complete the unlock as quickly as possible, and in most cases, you can take it back with you the same day.

Your ECU is processed at our location in Germany and then securely returned to you.
Select the appropriate unlock for your engine. All important details can be found in the respective product description.
Carefully package the ECU and make sure to include the order number or attach it clearly and visibly to the ECU.
Once we receive your ECU, we’ll inspect it and complete the unlock within 1–2 business days.
As soon as you receive your ECU back, you're ready to begin tuning.
No. A remote unlock is not possible. The ECU must be sent in for the unlock.
Yes. You can bring the ECU directly to us. We will complete the unlock as quickly as possible, and in most cases you can take it back with you immediately afterwards.

After the unlock, you can flash the software to the ECU via the OBD2 port or using OBD bench. This requires our KM eFlash or a compatible J2534 interface. Other flashing tools are not supported. We provide the required Windows software and license free of charge.

No. If you already own a compatible J2534 interface, you do not need to purchase an additional KM eFlash.
An OBD2 breakout cable is recommended. It allows you to use your interface via OBD bench if flashing through the vehicle’s OBD2 port is not possible.
After the unlock, you can perform a virtual read of the calibration area (maps).
Once the file has been downloaded, you can apply your tune and flash it using our software.
You can repeat the flashing process as many times as needed to refine and complete your tune.
No. These tools do not support the required OBD protocol. Use our KM eFlash or a compatible J2534 interface, such as Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 or Scanmatik, instead.

No. We currently offer only the unlocks listed on this page for Mercedes/AMG MRD1 and MRG1 ECUs. Please do not send requests for ECUs that are not listed, as we are currently unable to process them.
Once we have completed the unlock, you will receive a shipping notification by email. It contains a link to our Quick Start Guide, which explains how to install the Windows software and includes the required wiring diagram.
Yes. The unlock must be ordered through our online shop. The Windows software and the associated license are provided through your customer account, so registration is required.
No. Our unlock service is currently available exclusively to business customers based in the EU, UK or USA. Please do not send requests from other countries, as we are currently unable to process them.
